And you, what does the word “collector” inspire in you?
In french, “collector” means something iconic, legendary. This word has been guiding me for many years now. It fills me with wonder, it teaches me, it drives me to create, and it makes me love.
In recent years, it has even shaped me—to the point of inspiring a rather bold project: Motto, a platform that allows passionate collectors to easily find rare and so-called "impossible-to-find" vintage pieces.
My name is Suzie, I’m 33 years old, and I live in Paris. I’ve been surrounded by fashion since I was little, though I never paid much attention to it. For a long time, my mind wandered between photography, communication, and visual arts—until one fine day in 2016, fashion crossed my path again and said, "Hello, I’m here, it’s time to get to work."
That was my first experience in vintage fashion—I was in charge of sales and communication at Kiliwatch, a renowned Parisian boutique.
What an encounter! I had a real crush on what turned out to be a piece of our shared heritage: vintage clothing.
Craftsmanship, history, creativity, culture… wow! All of that behind fabric? Pure magic. It needs to be talked about.
From a vintage boutique to the Institut Français de la Mode, through vintage hunts across Europe, I’m here to share my experiences and discoveries about vintage fashion—a world so rich and vibrant when you truly get to know it.
I can’t wait to exchange with you on this shared passion and hear your fashion stories!
See you soon,
Suzie
